Why AOP…

AOP (or art on paper) works gives me the opportunity to work with a variety of techniques quickly and directly. When working with paper I often employ graphic materials such as charcoal, graphite, and or chalk, where at other times I apply water media—watercolors and/or acrylic paint thined with water—to build surfaces that range from simple/direct to complex/multi-layered, abstracted imagery.

Working with paper is very rewarding and allows me to create works that have family characteristics akin to my clay boxes, acrylic paintings, etc.
